The 452-metres long crossing is to be among the longest foot bridges in the world, and is to connect two banks of the Vistula river.
Warsaw authorities also announced a reorganisation of traffic on both ends of the bridge to allow for an easy access for cyclists.
The crossing will also offer pedestrians and cyclists a stunning view over Warsaw’s skyline.
