On Saturday, it was reported that a Democratic Party-affiliated committee had released a series of campaign ads aimed at persuading Polish-Americans to vote for Kamala Harris.

The ads, which appeared on YouTube, allude to Polish historical themes.
According to Politico, the ads are to be released on television and online media in Pennsylvania as well – and then in other states with significant Polish communities.
The campaign also refers to historical conflicts, such as the Mongol invasion of Kievan Rus, and compares them to current international tensions, pointing to Russia’s aggression.
In Pennsylvania, where Polish communities make up more than 5 percent of the electorate, winning the election locally could be crucial for Harris. Similar concentrations of Polish communities and other nationalities from Central and Eastern Europe are also found in Michigan and Wisconsin, which could affect the outcome of the election in those states.
