Around 202,430 Russian troops have been killed on the battlefields of Ukraine since Vladimir Putin invaded the country in February 2022, according to Ukrainian military authorities.

The latest figures were published by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Saturday morning, the state Ukrinform news agency reported.
Ukrainian forces killed 670 Russian soldiers over the previous 24 hours, and there were over 80 combat engagements between the two armies, according to Ukrainian officials.
The combat between Ukraine’s troops and the invading Russian army took place in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiyivka and Maryinka sectors in Ukraine’s eastern Donetsk region, as well as in the Shakhtarske direction, in the eastern Luhansk province, Ukrinform reported.
In addition, the Russian army has now lost 3,781 tanks, 7,382 armoured combat vehicles and 3,229 artillery systems during its military campaign in Ukraine, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Other Russian losses in Ukraine include 564 multiple rocket launchers, 325 air defence systems, 308 warplanes, 294 helicopters, 18 warships, and 2,801 unmanned aerial vehicles, Ukrinform reported.
Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, launching the largest military campaign in Europe since World War II.
