Russia likely shifted airborne forces from Kherson to Orikiv: report
The UK Defence Ministry’s daily intelligence update on Saturday says that Russia has likely shifted units of its airborne forces (VDV) from the Kherson region to the heavily contested Orikiv sector in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

Currently, intense fighting is underway along the front line near Orikiv.
The report also indicates a „realistic possibility” that this redeployment of Russia’s airborne troops could facilitate the withdrawal of certain regiments from the front line, allowing them to recuperate.
This move could potentially weaken Russia’s defenses on the eastern bank of the Dnipro River, rendering them susceptible to heightened amphibious assaults led by Ukrainian troops, as highlighted in the update.
