The head of Polish diplomacy speaking alongside Slovak Foreign Minister Juraj Blanár, stated that if Russia rejects or fails to meet the 30-day ceasefire test proposed by Ukraine and the U.S. in Jeddah, it will reveal whether it seeks war or peace.

Blanár added that this would be a test of mutual credibility for future peace talks. Both ministers also discussed Russia’s potential rejection of the proposal.

Poland’s top diplomat thanked Slovakia for its significant military support to Ukraine, including combat aircraft, and highlighted Poland’s role in securing Slovakia’s airspace.

Sikorski emphasized the key priorities of continued support for Ukraine, as well as increasing Europe’s financial, humanitarian, and military aid. He also stressed the importance of working toward not just a ceasefire, but a lasting and fair peace.
