Nurses and midwives forced to emigrate due to government failures
Sinn Féin used its Private Members’ Time in the Dáil this week to bring forward a motion to bring nurses, doctors, and health professionals home and end the crises that are driving them abroad.
Government has failed to tackle the housing and cost of living crisis and this is forcing young nurses and midwives to emigrate and stopping others from coming home.
Sinn Féin in Government, would train more and retain our key frontline staff and fix the housing crisis to help healthcare workers to come home.

Families can’t afford to heat their homes while £600 payment is being blocked
Speaking this week John Finucane said it is disgraceful that many families can’t afford to heat their homes this winter, while a £600 support payment is being blocked. Had we had an Executive this payment would have been made.
The blocking of an Executive by one party must end.
