Agata Kornhauser-Duda joined the 2023 Christmas Food Drive at the St. Cross Hospice in Warsaw on Monday, Polish state news agency PAP reported.

The first lady prepared food-relief packs together with students from a local primary school, volunteers and hospice staff.

She paid tribute to food drives, stressing that such initiatives provide support for people experiencing homelessness, ill or disabled.

Kornhauser-Duda said the annual Christmas Food Drive represented „a beautiful preparation for Christmas.” She added: „Let’s ensure that everyone can have their Christmas Eve dinner.”

She thanked the organisers, volunteers and people donating food for their willingness to help others, „in deed as well as through kind words.”
