Poland signs groundbreaking microsatellite deal
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, signed a key microsatellite deal for Poland’s space industry on Friday. During his visit to Romania, he expressed hope for Trump’s visit to Poland after his inauguration.

„We are investing another 560 million PLN (over 131 million EUR) to enhance our observation capabilities,” said Kosiniak-Kamysz while signing an agreement with a domestic partner for the delivery of four microsatellites.
The politician emphasized that the Earth observation satellite system within the MIKROGLOB program is a crucial step in the operational development and growth of the national space industry.
Deputy Minister of National Defense Cezary Tomczyk called today’s agreement a groundbreaking decision for Poland, especially in the context of space exploration.
He noted that for the first time, Polish satellites will be launched into orbit, with the first satellite scheduled for launch next year, marking a significant step in the development of the Polish Armed Forces in this new domain.
When will Donald Trump visit Poland?
Earlier, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz visited Romania, where he expressed his hope that U.S. President-elect Donald Trump would visit Poland shortly after taking office. He emphasized that the Polish government is in contact with Trump’s administration.
The Defense Minister added that after Trump’s inauguration in January 2025, discussions about his official visit to Poland should begin, noting that Poland meets Trump’s expectations regarding defense spending and economic investments.
