A recent decision to replace the human voice on a popular navigation app with AI has caused a nationwide uproar in Poland.

The familiar voice behind the app, Jarosław Juszkiewicz, is a long-time Polish Radio journalist who for years guided Poles through roads and winding paths both at home and abroad using Google Maps.
Now Juszkiewicz’s beloved voice is set to be replaced by AI, a move that has not been well received by many of the app’s users across the country.
