According to unofficial information from Beata Płomecka, a Brussels correspondent for Polish Radio – by the end of November, EU countries are to approve the Commission’s decision on the second payment of money from the National Recovery Plan to Poland, in the amount of EUR 9.4 billion.
On Tuesday, the Commission’s decision will be offically approved by experts from the EU’s Economic Policy Committee. On November 29, the Financial and Economic Committee will accept the decision – which will conclude the process and pave the way for the European Commission to transfer the money to Poland’s accounts.
The pool of EUR 9.4 billion is earmarked, among other things, for Polish Baltic Sea wind farms, the renovation of Poland’s railway lines and the purchase of new rolling stock, Polish oncology hospitals support, clean air investments like house insulation and replacing heat stoves across Poland, or extending the country’s fast internet network.
