As of Friday, April 4, 17 candidates submitted 100,000 signatures to the Polish State Election Commission (PKW), meeting the necessary requirement to run in the 2025 presidential elections.

This marks the highest number of candidates ever to submit signatures for a Polish presidential election.

Among the final candidates were businessman Paweł Tanajno and journalist Krzysztof Stanowski, both of whom handed in their signatures on the last day.

On April 4, 2025, journalist and presidential candidate Krzysztof Stanowski submits the signatures collected for his candidacy at the Polish State Election Commission in Warsaw. The PKW has confirmed 11 candidates, listed alphabetically:

The State Election Commission still needs to verify the candidacies of several other contenders, including Maciej Maciak and former PiS member Dawid Jackiewicz.

This year’s election is already a record-breaker, with more candidates than in previous years.

It is set to take place on May 18, with a second round scheduled for June 1 if no candidate secures more than 50% of the vote.
