A pair of two-story buildings, 10 private homes, a shop, and a gas pipeline were partially destroyed by the attack late on Saturday evening.
„At night, a girl’s body was removed from the rubble of a house in Pidhorodne community. She just turned two years old”, Serhiy Lysak, Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, posted on Telegram.
„I offer sincere condolences to the relatives… There are 22 victims in the attack, and five of them are children. Three of the injured children are in serious condition”, he added cited by the Kyiv Post.
Russian airstrikes on Ukraine have increased dramatically in recent weeks. In Kyiv overnight, which has been subject to almost daily attacks for more than a month now, air raid sirens once again sounded in the early hours of Sunday morning, the Reuters agency reported.
„According to preliminary information, not a single aerial target reached the capital”, Serhiy Popko wrote on Telegram on Sunday.
„The air defense forces destroyed everything heading towards the city at long distance. For the second night in a row, the residents of Kyiv did not hear the sounds of explosions overhead”, he added.
